Redefining the premium fan experience for a new era of live events
In partnership with Seat Unique, we designed their new iOS/Android app to bring the world of premium hospitality to the modern fan. A dedicated 24/7 marketplace that provides instant, on-the-go access to official VIP tickets and premium hospitality packages. Securing once-in-a-lifetime moments at sport, music, and cultural events should be hassle free and trustworthy.
Seat Unique
The challenge
As a leader in the premium ticketing space, Seat Unique needed to bridge the gap between their web platform and the real-time needs of fans. Building a new product from scratch meant translating a complex inventory of VIP packages into a streamlined mobile interface that could handle high-traffic "on-sale" moments while maintaining the brand's premium feel and trustworthiness.
The Opportunity
Developing a native app allowed us to leverage mobile-specific benefits—such as push notifications for exclusive drops, biometric security for high-value transactions, and an integrated digital wallet. We had the chance to create a more intimate, "always-on" connection between fans and official rights holders like Wembley Stadium and the WRU.
The results
The launch of the app provided a high-performance channel that supported Seat Unique’s revenue growth. By offering a frictionless path from discovery to digital ticket management, the app earned a 5.0-star rating and solidified official partnerships with some of the world’s most iconic venues.
Design Principles
Exclusivity Without Friction
We focused on a "slick" interface that removes the stress of the traditional ticket-buying scramble, making luxury accessible in just a few taps.

Trust Through Transparency
The use of high-fidelity UI and polished interactions to signal authority and safety. By prioritising a clean, transparent pricing structure, the design itself becomes a guarantee of authenticity for the fan.
Personalized Discovery
The app uses smart alerts and curated collections to bring high-demand opportunities directly to the user, eliminating the need to hunt for events.
The role
As   Foundation Designer, I defined the product's visual language and UX strategy from the ground up. I led the design of Seat Unique’s first native app, ensuring the brand’s premium DNA was reflected in every interaction. I worked closely with stakeholders and engineering to build a robust architecture capable of handling peak traffic while creating a mobile identity that complements their web platform.
Homepage
Designed to make discovering live experiences feel effortless

The homepage combines personalised recommendations with intuitive exploration. From the moment users arrive, they are welcomed with a tailored hero card highlighting upcoming events and relevant experiences, these are tailored to user history or behavioural patterns.
Curated sections such as nearby events, trending shows and personalised recommendations surface the most relevant content without overwhelming the user, allowing discovery to happen naturally.

The experience balances clear navigation, lightweight filtering and contextual actions ensure users can seamlessly browse, revisit favourites and access their tickets, while dynamic content continuously adapts to their interests, location and upcoming plans.
Dynamic filters
The filtering experience is designed to help users refine large event catalogues with minimal effort while maintaining full context of their search. Rather than navigating through multiple screens, users can adjust key criteria—including event type, location, date, party size and price range—within a single, intuitive bottom sheet. Real-time updates and visible result counts provide immediate feedback, ensuring every interaction feels responsive and purposeful.

The interface prioritises flexibility without compromising simplicity
Search, the easy way
Following the client’s request for an Airbnb-style search experience, the search flow transforms finding the right event into a simple, step-by-step journey. Instead of presenting every filter at once, users are guided through a series of focused questions—who they want to see, when they want to go, where they’d like to attend and how many people are joining. Breaking the process into manageable steps reduces cognitive load while making search feel more conversational and approachable

Favourites
The favourites experience gives users a personalised space to keep track of the artists, teams and events they care about most. Rather than acting as a simple saved list, it provides a live overview of upcoming events, allowing users to expand each favourite to view available dates, venues and pricing without leaving the page. This enables users to stay informed and quickly access the experiences they’re most likely to book.
Checkout
The checkout experience is designed to provide complete transparency and confidence before purchase. A clear order summary, detailed price breakdown and streamlined payment flow minimise friction, allowing users to review every aspect of their booking before confirming. Once complete, the journey transitions seamlessly into a personalised confirmation experience, reassuring users that their purchase has been successfully secured.
